Where to buy a T-cup Yorkie

Or in fact any dog. We bought our current dog on impulse — was in a garden Center one day ten years ago and much to my amazement my wife agreed to buy a puppy that was there.

This time I would like to do my research but a quick scan of the internet there doesn’t appear to be a good place to find a breeder. Does anyone have any suggestions (I’m in the south-east).

"Teacup" Yorkies aren't a breed in their own right, just very small Yorkies. Unfortunately they tend to be exceedingly in bred and as such often lead miserable and short lives. Please don't encourage their breeding...

Rescue centres are a very good start for finding a dog. Pick a breed that fits in with your lifestyle. Real Heinz 57's tend to be the healthiest dogs, especially around the 10kg mark with some terrier in the mix. If you insist on a "breed" then research fully KC registered breeders where all the relevant health tests will have been done on both sire and dam.

Do all the normal checks etc, make sure mum is their, all paper work is, if not ask to see the MY KC on the laptop etc and you can at least know if they have been registered. If it feels wrong walk away always lots more pups for sale.

This ^^^^ in spades.
I detest the "breeders" of Dogs like this, the very fact that the smaller the dog, the
higher the price tells me that they care little for tha animal but a lot for their pockets.
Some are asking £8000 for a pup , and idiots are paying it.

All breeds have their issues.
Mother in law - and her sister got Yorkies - three in litter - one dead at birth - one died young from undiagnosed diabetes - mother in laws had diabetes diagnosed - after insurance was let lapse. Injections - both eyes operated on. ££££
I'm sure they aren't all like that - but learn all about the breed and find a good breeder through KC - or a breed register.

Indeed. Hence the importance of not increasing the chances and / or severity by going for a ridiculous teacup version.
