Being a former resident, I had to double check it was actually a whale, rather than one of the monstrosities that can usually be found on the high street dragging around 6 kids

The Daily Mash is suggesting it turned around when it found out the price of a pint in London.

Maybe it was concerned it'd put on a few pounds and was just going into town to the whale-weigh station.

I never made the mental link between the sturgeon and the whale, even with the word Beluga attached to them. Think it just means 'White' or something.

They're probably in for a shock when they find out about sperm.

Beluga is from old Russian words meaning a big white thing. The beluga, or European sturgeon, is a very large grey to white fish. The beluga whale is a white whale.
