Usually our young dog takes pleasure in disemboweling her soft toys .
She is now chewing a corner off her bed and removing the polyester stuffing.
This was a supposedly robust bed from Amazon .
Apart from an old towel on the floor ,any suggestions ?

I remember asking a similar question on a Great Dane forum when my little puppy Dane was going through a bed-eating phase. I won't give you a link to the recommendation tho. It lasted 2 days biggrin

I don't think there is such a thing, sadly.

My compromise has been cheap duvets and duvet covers, folded up.

Again ,IMHO- no such thing. Toby was a rescue Cairn at eight year old . His bed was a blanket on the sofa. His dog bed was something he humped/ made a hole in and carried around on his head.

Our labrador got through the tough version in a week.

Even a laminate chipboard and steel frame bed deck got chewed at the corners.

There is no such thing as a chewproof dog bed.

We now use cheap carpet tiles stacked up.

There’s no such thing as a chew proof anything! Our shepherds will sleep in a bed for months, quite happily. Then we get up one morning, and the bed is all over the house. Never in the day, always at night. No idea why.

We use old duvets.

We do have some “vet bed” that they’ve never destroyed. I’m not sure if it is because it is indestructible, or it is not considered a worthy opponent.

GP- that bed was his bh. I know about the ? , but it would mean a new username, and add to that I'm an OAP ancient rebel. Technology conforms to me, not me to technology.

My youngest GSP had a phase of chewing her bed when she was younger. I got her a Kennel mate bed, they're not cheap but aren't as expensive as tuffies and are very robust with no zips.
