Unused meds - what to do...?

We said goodbye to our dachsie cross recently and have a bunch of in-date unused meds that he was on in the last stages - Vetmedin, Libeo, Apoquel.

If I just return them to the vets I expect they'll either just get get tossed or resold - not sure which would offend me more...

Any better suggestions? - happy to donate them to a good home.

Can't do much else in the UK due to rules

I tried returning mine to the vet, asked them to give them to someone who needed them but was struggling to pay for them, not interested, said they would bin them, I found someone who needed them myself by asking around the dog groups.

Sorry about your loss, lost mine a couple of months ago, a dog who came to work with me every day, I miss him so much, but he had a good life after being recued in a state of famine and neglect with zero training or socialising at 14 months old, by 14.5 years he was the best behaved dog around.

We donated the unused eye ointment (prescription and non-prescription) we had left after Rosie died to the rescue she came from.

They get a lot of ex-puppy farm dogs in who tend to have eye conditions (including cockers like Rosie) so I couldn't think of anywhere better for it to go.

They took it very gratefully; they do have an on-site vet surgery, though, so that may make a difference.

Having said that, we gave our left over Apoquel to the rescue Daphne came from and they took it too.

So sorry for your loss.
