We rehomed a lovely 5 month old Lab a year ago, I’d love to know more about his breeding, but there doesn’t seem to be any info on his chip, is there any other way to trace his lineage (not for breeding as we’ve had his bks off smile)

No

Only if he is kennel club regd and you have basic info.

Remember too many of these breed societies work on trust so pedigrees are just that with no DNA testing.

Many a farmer has been screwed over with the very highest ranking pedigree cattle they (thought they) bought.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Love your lab for who he is.

Very true.

We took home a fox red lab last year, and after chasing the breeder several times for the KC registration and pedigree lineage gave up and realised that since we have no plans to breed him it doesnt matter - he is who he is smile
