I hope this hasn't been asked before, I have done a search but coulnd't find anything specific.

I had my first baby stick insect (CARAUSIUS MOROSUS) hatch out yesterday and wondered if anyone could please advise me on how to look after it properly?

I have ordered a tank to get me started. At present it is being housed in a butterfly net with some hawthorn leaves and a soggy cotton wool ball for water/mositure.

If you have a set up please can you post pics as I haven't ever really seen what I need to achieve.

I know I should have done the research firt, to be honest I didn't expect any of the eggs to hatch so soon!

What's it's name? I'd like to suggest 'Sticky'.

If he's called that, then he will inevitably get stuck on a sticky bun.

Already suggested by Hubby - but seeing as PistonHeads can answer anything how about name suggestions on this thread as well - Sticky is a no no!!

Thanks for the links :-)

As he's very thin and has long long legs - Fatso seems appropriate!
