donkeys and llamas

Has anyone ever kept either of these?

Much involved? Costly to run?

Investigating purchasing some form of animal, but want to do my homework to make sure I have the facilities.

i once worked out of a farm where they had llama,s,nasty creatures that spit at you and leg it at the first oppertunity,no way to catch them,donkeys on the other hand...sooooooo cute and loving
