We've all seen the mischievous bundles of fun, show us your photos of your guineas. This is my 2 Bart and Bella with Betty the bunny. I rescued them from a horrible existence, their fur was all matted and they were all skin and bone. They've doubled in weight and they are much happier now. wink

and this is Stanley my late guinea who died shortly before my old rabbit. frown

I love piggies! They're the sweetest little characters. We have three at the moment - Nigel Mansell, Ayrton Senna and Rubens Barrichello. hehe

Pics to follow as soon as I have a minute to get the photos off the phone!

My 2 are brilliant. The moment they see me first thing in the morning, they whistle their little hearts out to let me know they want feeding.

Anyone else find themselves involuntarily going "mweeep mweeep" at them when you see them in pets at home?

No..?

Just me then?

I whistle as well!! That's how I selected Stanley in the pet shop, I whistled at the cage and he was the only one in the litter who whistled back. biggrin

My daughter has five females which just go mad when you approach with a hand full of clover.

Our sadly passed on Guinea Crunch was hilarious, he used to growl (aggressive purr) when we played any hip hop music, all other music was fine, anything with an hip hop beat could not be played...

will post up a pic soon.

I used to breed/exhibit pedigree guineas, and used to keep around 280 of the little blighters, can you imagine the noise they used to make when i walked in the shed with bags of freshly picked grass.

It's bad enough with 2 of them chirping away when I walk in the room with their breakfast. Anyone would think I starved them to hear them carry on. The boar weighs just under 3lb and the sow just over 2lb so they're definitely not starved!!! biggrinbiggrinbiggrin

Just to bump this one back up, since losing Bella over a month ago, Bart has been lost without his sister. So say hello to his new playmates, Lola, (on the left, she's 13 weeks old) and Angel (on the right, she's 13 months old) Barty is like a dog with 2 doodahs having someone new to play with. biggrin

Lola is like a second skin with Bart, she follows him everywhere. Everytime Bart does something, Lola copies him. biggrin
