Hey guys, I'm looking for some help.

The missus and I are looking to go away in mid June for 7 nights and I am looking for inspiration on where to go. The requirements:

Between £300 and £450 (definitely no more) per person.

  • Not Spain or Spanish islands (I'm extremely sick of Spain)
  • Not Cyprus or Turkey (Been there last few years)and not Egypt.
  • Somewhere hot
  • Somewhere with a lot of day excursions and interesting things to do
I really wanted to go Marrakech but since 15 tourists got blown up last month my girlfriend is reticent.

Somewhere interesting is my primary goal. In Cyprus we rented a jeep and drove up a mountain to look around a temple. In Turkey we went canoeing the entire length of a river with a BBQ and visited lots of markets etc.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you worked out why you can't think of anywhere yet? wink

I take it when you say you're sick of Spain and the Balearics, you've been everywhere there?
For example, have you been to Andalucia and driven the mountain roads and seen The Alhambra Palace in Granada and the town of Ronda?
I also take it you've driven round all of Mallorca and seen all the amazing stuff there?

Can't understand how anyone could get fed up of Spain given the variety.

I personaly love Italy.

South of Naples (Amalfi Coast and beyond) is beautiful and lots to see and do. Can be more expensive than other European Destinations though.

What about Croatia. Not been personally for long long time (it was Yugoslavia when I went) but meant to be glorious

I mean no offence to people who enjoy Spain, but you have to understand my family took to somewhere different in Spain or the surrounding Islands every year since I was 2. I want to see different countries and do different things.

Greece we have looked at and it's looking fairly promising; particularly the Greek islands.

Croatia was an idea I had when I first started looking, but I'm yet to find somewhere in budget that didn't get poor reviews.

Cheers for the feedback thumbup

Malta is cool.

Good weather - good food - nice people - drive on the right side of the raod - plenty to see and do..

Just a thought..
