Last minute type sites for hotel booking, recommendation?

[Ari]

Thinking of a last minute weekend away with the missus. In the past we've had good success booking "secret hotels" through Lastminute.com, the ones where they don't tell you where you've booked (beyond area) till you've booked it in return for giving really good rates.

But they seem to have all but disappeared from their site these days.

Any good recommendations for getting good last mninute deals on hotels?

Seconded, simple no fuss website too. We've had some very nice luxury 'boutiquey' hotel stays at less than half the standard rate by booking the week prior to going.

Brilliant thanks, I'll give it a try.

Bit late now, but just keep an eye out for B&B's pretending to be hotel's on Laterooms.

Most diaspointing to be looking forward to a beer in the bar, to find it's a b&B and you need to find a pub. It's a mistake I have only made the once...
