Afternoon chaps

Can anyone confirm how much allowance is given for fluids on a short haul flight. We are flying out to Paris tomorrow. Is it 100ml or 50ml?

Hand luggage only flying with Jet2.

Thanks

To be precise it is 10 x 100ml. Each container no more than 100ml & no more than 10 containers e.g. 1 litre all in a plastic bag 200x200mm.

100ml... no restriction on numbers, but they ALL must fit fully into the clear bag.
It doesn't have to be an airport issued bag, which tend to be rather flimsy and only last one trip- any clear bag of the equivalent size (guide is 1 litre/20cm x 20cm) will do..personally I use a plastic ziploc.

When this stupid rule was introduced, it was 100ml in the UK, but 3oz in the US (which actually converts to about 88ml)... had some interesting discussions at US airports arguing that one! Thankfully the US has since changed it to 3.4oz

there is a change to this coming very soon to parts of the EU, mainly to deal with the drop in revenue from lack of duty free sales. It will allow duty free sales and even transfers if in sealed bags, at the moment it is unclear who will implement this or when but finally the cracks are starting to show.

I hear Switzerland will be the first to crack, the UK will follow in around 2048.

Thank you gentleman. I have bought some clear reseal-able bags too. The last time I flew out to Monaco I ended up throwing away some expensive aftershave and the rest of my toiletries.

I shall not be making the same mistake again tomorrow smile

I was in Monaco at the time this nonsense started (Sum 06), and of course we were warned not to take any hand luggage onboard. To play it safe I didn't even buy any duty free post security for a direct flight. I watched security people taking bottles off people and then subsequently heading home with the takings....
