Marrakech for a long weekend?

Hi Guys,

I need a small weekend getaway before a new job.

3 days, not too far and cheap- 250 to 300 pound per person.

After some luxury, a resort based holiday- where me and the wife can simply get some sun, by a nice pool in a nice hotel. The beach is a bonus.

Any inputs? I am aware the majority of it will be poor.

The bombings in Marrakech wouldn't deter me. I love Morocco, however the heat in May/June would.

To the OP I'd suggest Nice or Seville: Easyjet fly there, there's lots of accommodation in all price ranges, plus you can eat as expensively or as cheaply as you like.

The bombing might not deter me but the sight of my neighbour having lost a stone in weight following some dire stomach bug picked up there might just do the trick..........
