I'm flying over to Tenerife with some mates on Wednesday, and have just come to check in online to see that my mate who booked the ticket has spelled my name Domonic rather than Dominic (as on my passport). They want £100 to change the name online and £125 to change it on the phone - is it worth chancing or am I likely to run into trouble if I don't get it changed? Airline is Monarch if that makes any difference!

I once accidentally put my mother down as Mr rather than Mrs and went to the (BMIBaby) office at the airport. They wanted £35 on the phone but changed it for £6 at the airport (politeness is what counts here). Personally, Id risk it and try and get it sorted at the airport - can't honestly believe anyone would be that Nazi.

just go to the airport and don't even mention it. Checking in separately from the rest of the gang will ease your passage here.
