London hotel (post-theatre) options
Discussion
Hi all,
My gf and I are going to london for a couple of days for her birthday, so far I've planned a theatre show, meal and hotel. The trouble is, I'm wondering which hotel and where?
Am I restricting myself heavily by hoping it can be within walking distance of the Dominion Theatre, and yet expecting it to be not unreasonably priced?
This one I've found is the best-looking one so far in terms of, well, looks, location and price:

Yay or nay? Do I need to be paying that much for a 'nice' room?
Cheers for any advice for someone who doesn't frequent London!

I have stayed at the Strand Palace on several occasions. Its OK, but a bit shabby. It could really do with a re-fit. For another £50 or so you should get a much better hotel.
The Seven Dials hotel is a nicer family run smaller hotel http://www.sevendialshotellondon.com/ that is much better IMHO.
There is so much choice within walking distance of the Dominion Theatre.
Or the Rubens at the Palace, which is beautifully kept and decorated but is probably further than you might want to walk (only down Charing Cross Rd, through Traf Sq and St James' Park though) Nice if the weather is good............
And check whatt is included and what is not. Breakfast can be £30 extra etc.
