I want to go away for a long weekend sometime this summer, Friday morning to Sunday night sort of thing. Maybe Thursday night after work etc. I'm thinking camping with a load of friends, but I really want to go Jet-skiing and a few of us would like to go quad-biking too.

We're based in Surrey on the Sussex/East Hants borders. Probably around 15-or-so of us across 4 or 5 cars.

Where the feck do we go?!

DownUnder.

New forest water park on the Ringwood - Fordingbridge road should fit the bill

That sounds perfect. We did Brockenhurst before we all parted ways for University in 2009. I'll have a nosey, thanks.

ETA: Yeah, that could do. anywhere else for comparison?

There really aren't many campsites right on the beach which would be ideal.
In fact the only ski-friendly one I've found not a million miles away (and will visit sometime) is at Port Eynon nr Swansea.

Margate has jetski world, the campsite right by Manston airport has good reviews and is only 5-10 mins away. This campsite would also serve the free slips at Herne Bay.

Brightlingsea in Essex is a good launch site too, camping nearby but not brilliant reviews of that (council I think) site.

Solent: massive (and busy) free slip at Lee on Solent: campsite 5mins away - again not brilliant reviews though.

Or come down to Eastbourne: stay at Castle View which is a lovely site 5-10 mins from the Eastbourne PWC association launch site on Eastbourne beach - we're only there at weekends.

(all these launch sites are on boatlaunch.co.uk)

Personally I love Swanage: choice of campsites 5mins from the excellent sandy private beach which offers launching @ £15 a day iirc.
