1st road trip abroad in September
Discussion
Hi, I'm looking to do my 1st road trip abroad in September, I'm going with the better half. I don't really want to be driving for hour and hours each day so my initial thoughts was euro tunnel and head towards the Loire Valley, we quite fancy nice scenery lots of wines cold meats and cheeses
Do you know of any tours? Or any little tucked away gems that are a must see/ visit?
Any other pointers much appreciated.

Vendome and Amboise are 2 towns well worth a visit East of Tours, to the west Chinon and Saumur.
For a vineyard, I'd suggest Vouvray: http://www.cp-vouvray.com/index_en.php - these guys do a tour of their caves and production areas. Their fizz is €8 per bottle, and is well worth stocking up with
