Right so im going on holiday and will be renting a car for the very first time and im just wondering if people believe that the insurance damage waiver is worth it? and if theres anywhere else to get it, i did read you can insure against it online!
Thanks for the help

We always pre-book with these http://www.economycarrentals.com/ They're an agent but their prices come in cheaper than booking direct (so far had cars through them from National and Avis) and they include all insurances and CDW. Quite often get a 2nd driver free too.

I agree with the post above. We looked at various car hire finder websites, looked on various car hire sites directly and even taking in to account Quidco money back none of them came back cheaper than Economy Car Rentals. We have booked through them and found it was with Hertz so we know we should be dealing with a reasonable company at our destination.

I use insurance4carhire, as the annual premium is largely the same as paying the hire company to protect your excess - so it's worth it if you hire a few times a year.

On the other hand - some brokers will throw in the additional cover for no extra cost.
