The Mossel Valley, Germany - Any recommends For Stops?
Discussion
I'll be travelling from Trier north to Koblenz alongside the Mossel river all the way (B49/B53 IIRC) and would like some suggestions for places to stop en-route for lunch or to look at the scenery.
Unfortunately I can't stop overnight but Google Maps says its a 3.5 hour journey (with no stops) so I have time to pause and look about for an hour or two.
All suggestions gratefully received.

When are you going?
The World Rally Championship is based in Trier and uses the Mossel vineyards 18 to 21 August
We went last year and drove a good proportion of the mossel valley - magnificent views and towns (like Bernkastel) cannot recommend any eateries in particular but there are MANY to choose from.

Departing 4th Aug but back on the 14th so I'll just miss the WRC...damn...

Bernkastel is now on my Itinerary - cheers fella!
Zell is a lovely little place, with plenty of food / wine places to purchase some quality fare.
very pretty little town.
Edited to add...............pity you sold your Chimaera, as a blast along the river road is wonderful with the hood down. I'm sure you'll enjoy the drive whatever you are in.
