Other than a generator (which i dont have) How can i get power in a tent?
Need to blow up air mattresses, charge mobiles, charge LED lanters, play a radio, run a little cool box?

Ps No Electric hook up.

Car? You can get converters for 230V. Most camping gear should be good for the 12V ciggie lighter. Personally, when I camp, I use the ipad, as it gives out shedloads of light, and plays movies and music as well!

Oh, we've used those portable car battery packs before for different stuff. Something like this

The cool box will be the killer. Pump up the airbeds on arrival from the car or a decent hand powered pump (takes me about 4 mins per bed by hand). Run radio on batteries from poundland. LED lanterns should last ages. Should be able to charge mobiles from the car without much impact on the battery.

For cooling things either exchange ice packs at the site shop, or buy a bag of ice every day or two from the supermarket.

Ideally take two cars and a set of jump leads so you can recover from wiping out the battery on one of the cars!

ETA: One trick for the cool box is to freeze some of the food you need after a few days - milk, sausages etc - and use this to keep down the coolbox temperature. You can get most of the way through the week this way, and just buy some ice when things start warming up.
