I'm lucky to be in talks with a bloke about a job out in Zanzibar! Work in exchange for accomodation.

I realise it's quite an expensive holiday destination but apparently it can be made cheap by buying food from the village and cooking yourself, plus my accomodation will be sorted smile

Seems about 4/5 months of work, how much would you budget for say, a month on food?
And what other things will I have to fork out for? Visa?

Cheers, Butch.

Yes you'll need a visa but that is pretty easy to organise. There are local buses that will basically head North, South and West from Stone Town (the main town on the island.)

I've been lucky enough to travel quite a bit and Zanzibar is probably my favourite place I've been to! Very jealous!

Zanzibar isn't expensive, at all. Not compared to anywhere else I've been.

Utterly fantastic place, and I can't wait to go back.

What part of the island will you be working and what will you be doing?

Nothing's set in stone, but hopefully something will come of it!

I'm not sure of many details at the moment, but will update as soon as I know smile
It's labour work though, helping sort out a couple of houses.
