Not sure if you work in London or travel up here a bit but city forex is generally the best for tourist exchange. Far better rates than the high street - http://www.cityforex.co.uk/contact.php

Google search, that will always have the most up to date data. I personally found the travel money place in Harrods had the best exchange rates in London when I needed US dollars recently.

If you travel regularly it can save you a fortune if you get a pre-paid currency card.

I use Caxton (http://www.caxtonfxcard.com/) and rate them highly. Brilliant rates and just use the card at the hole in the wall when you arrive.

I travel to New York and Europe every couple of weeks and I reckon over the last 2 years this card has saved me at least a couple of grand.

You'd want the Global Traveller card to inc Turkey.

You will be surprised with TravelEx (I certainly was!!), if you "reserve" online and are lucky enough to be passing one of the select few centres that distribute (not every site), then they can offer very competitive rates.

The post office online are normally pretty competitive (but high minimum spend if going just for a weekend)!.

In the end I bought online via Halifax (Travelex are the middle man) but they were very competitive on the conversion of around £150 to Danish Krone.
