Need Ski recommendations in Europe for 2 couples

We're looking at booking a ski holiday in January next year.

Have about £1250/couple for a week of skiing anywhere in the world- that's for travel, accomodation and passes.

We prefer self catering and self organise, but would happily go package if it was better value.

Been to Switzerland/andorra a lot, as well as California. Looking for nice wide fun stuff- not too easy but not horrifically technical with a bit of off piste and some good nightlife. Don't really want a massively busy resort!
