Paris to East Midlands or Birmingham

Hello all,

I will be looking for a way to get from Paris to Northants. about 18 July.
The 2 localish airports are Birmingham and East Midlands.

I looked at the 1 way flights, and to be honest, they look very expensive for what they are.

I then thought about Eurostar, but that was expensive also, at about 180 Euro.

So is there any other options, I was thinking train from Paris to Calais, the foot passenger to Dover, then train or National express to Victoria coach station, where I could also get a coach to Northants>
Sure it would take some time, but time is what I have loads of at the moment, just really need to trim the pennies.

How to get from Paris to Calais or Dunkirk?
The ferry is fine as a "walk on passenger"
Then need to transport from Dover to East middlands.
Any suggestions?

Eurolines will take you from Paris to London Victoria for 55 Euro and National Express from London Victoria to Northampton for £9 (from)
