Hi guysand girls,

I'm looking to take the OH away for the weekend in October time, around 2 to 3 nights.

I'm kind of stuck for ideas and could do with some advice. Basically, she's got quite a lot on so can't take a full week off, so I thought it might be nice to take her away for a short break.

I'm wide open to suggestions, including trips to Europe. Looking to spend a maximum of £300 per person, maybe more if it looks worth the price. Anbody know of any deals for spa weekends or mini holidays to Spain etc?

Thanks people.

We had a good break in Barcelona, booked the cheap flight and 3* hotel separately.

This - although Expedia just as good in my experience. Did this a lot with the previous gf and never had a bad time... the better ones (in no particular order) were:

Barcelona
Brussels
Iceland
Paris
Amsterdam
Rome

Iceland & Rome were probably my favourite.

Bruges- its perfect for a couples weekend break.

Its really excessively romantic, very few "new houses"- all cobbled streets etc but there's loads to do in and around the time, and a lot of very very friendly pubs and restaurants to wile away the afternoon.

How about a two-day trackday at one of the European tracks for him and spa/pamper break at an English country home for her?

Will do the relationship no end of good.

Lisbon is cracking for a weekend break - you can get low cost flights there and food and drink is cheap by EU standards.

And for some reason they still love the Brits wink

Marrakesh, plenty to do and not too expensive flights from Ryanair.

Venice, love the place. Nice weather then too.

I'd have a scan of the flights and see what is cheap everywhere mentioned will fit the bill but euro zone is expensive at the moment (as it has been for about 4 years).
