Hotels in or near Anaheim.......the are not Disney !!

Hello,

I require a few recommendations for Hotels in and around Anaheim that are not focussed on being close to Disneyland.

We will make a trip to Disney but do not want to be in close proximity.

Therefore, I would like some recommendations that are no more than 30 miles from Anaheim I guess......

The centre of LA is only 26 miles away, so there should be a few hotels to pick from.

We stayed in the Hilton Anaheim for a night and it was pretty good for the money - more business focussed than tourist, had a decent bar and foyer area and I seem to remember a pool and gym too. The only thing 'Disney' were some brochures by the concierge.

I have not really stayed anywhere other than Bel Air.

That's a good point, LA is not far at all.

What sort of price range are you looking for? I would avoid anything in Hollywood, I assumed Hollywood was a nice area but it isn't there were tramps sleeping on every corner. I have also stayed on the beach front at Santa Monica but can't remember the hotel. This area is much better as there are places to eat within walking distance as well as stuff to do on the pier.

I have recently returned from staying just south of Disney in Costa Messa. The hotel ha just had a re0fit so was in pretty good shape.

Wyndham just next to the south coast plaza and performing arts centre. It's about 20 mins from Disney, 15 mins from the nice sandy beaches.
