October - Hot, Luxurious, £1500 for 2
Discussion
I know there was a similar thread recently, but my requirements are slightly different, so before I go and book something and get it totally wrong and have the OH hating me forever, I thought I would open it up to the experts...
I want:
- Good weather. Doesn't have to be baking hot, but enough sunshine to forget about grey England would be good, warm enough for the beach even better.
- Luxury. I'm thinking 5* all inclusive resort rather than self catering apartment. It doesn't have to be totally opulent, but I'd like to be impressed.
- [Probably] not long haul, as only likely to be going for a week
- I'd like to keep the cost under £1500 if possible
Are the 5* resorts in Turkey/Greece/Egypt/Tunisia that Lastminute.com and others list actually any good? They seem to fit the bill, but I don't know anyone with any experience of them.
In terms of activities once there, my plans don't go much further than relaxing with beer in hand by the pool, running, watersports and taking in a few local sights.
