Check out these guys: http://www.norfolkline.com/ferry/

They go Dover to Dunkirk but we have always found them very cheap!

I always use ferrysavers.co.uk. And yes, Norfolkline usually cheapest smile

Yup and the boats aren't too bad either. The prices may be Easyjet but the comfort levels are higher. Food on the boat is expensive but not mind-blowing. Would definitely use again (used them twice already).

A couple of times we have turned up really early (like 4 hours early) and they just let us on the first available boat - and even 4mins before the boat set off...had a bit of a wait on the other side though...

Having used Norfolkline on a number of occasions to get back to Blighty, I've turned up <10 mins before departure and been let on the boat (last car on...) as they're just about to close the doors.

I don't think their food's too expensive, and it's certainly better than some of the muck P&O think is accpetable to serve up. All the Brits I know who live in Luxembourg and use Norflokline all vote lick for the same thing on the ferry - fish & chips!

This ^^ apart from some of the grub is a bit dear on main meals, but can always find something edible and reasonably priced.

Likewise coming back from Reims I set off hoping to catch the ferry the one before the sailing we were booked on; unfortunately took a numpty wrong turning and the ladies wanted to stop for an ice cream so got snot ravelled up with late Friday tea time rush hour.

Didn't rush as by now thought I'd be too late, sauntered up to check in to, more or less, get the instruction to GLF! to the ferry ramp. Also last one on. Excellent, meant getting home before midnight as opposed to early hours.
