We are off to vegas for 4 nights and huntington beach for some surfing for 4 nights in the next couple of weeks. As it will be our 8th time to vegas we've done most if not all the obvious places/restaurants so I was wondering if anyone could suggest something new or different. We will have a car and have done death valley and the hoover but a new road trip for a day would be good.

We are staying at the encore and then the four seasons on a comp'd night.

As far as restaurants are concerned our favourite is the wynn steakhouse followed by charlie palmer's at the mandalay bay although we also like the cheap and cheerful coco's off tropicana for breakfast.

Its our second time to huntington but last time was only overnight so any tips very welcome.

Matt..

You seriously need to find a new holiday destination!

Have you been to Zion or Bryce Canyon? They are close to Vegas.

I was in Vegas, getting ready to head to Huntington Beach this time last year, hoping to go back next year!

Cant really comment on Vegas, with you having been there 8 times, you have probably done everything we did...

Huntington Beach was pretty much the relaxing bit - hire a bike and cycle down to Newport beach, hire a kayak and go for a paddle about in Huntington Beach harbour in amongst the $10m + houses and boats - (head north on PCH). Laguna Beach is also worth a look.

Food in HB: Breakfast at the Sugar Shack is a must and Dukes Diner / Aloha Bar and grill for a meal. There is also a place called 2nd Floor which is a good bar with good grub - well worth a visit! They are all along the beachfront / main street area.

Where are you staying in Huntington?
