3 day skiing trip. (anywhere in Euroland) Jan 2012.
Discussion
It's my other half birthday on the 2nd Jan 2012, and I would like to take her away for a few days, date wise we can depart 3rd4th or 5th of Jan.
I am happy with anywhere, but would like no longer than 3 nights?
Everywhere I look its 7 nights+, anyone know a company or hotel that would do 3 night?
Thanks,

I have been on numerous 2/3/4 night ski weekends, very few (if any) tour operators will do this duration, so it has to be a DIY trip. You probably need to decide on the resort you want to head to, and when doing so consider how far it is from an airport and how your plan to get from the airport to resort. Normally we hire a car, there might be cheaper options, but as we normally get a flight late afternoon/early evening, its often fairly late by the time we arrive so a car is quickest - often getting to the accommodation fairly late.
Once airport and resort chosen, just search the web. Can take a while, but use the resort web site, Tripadvisor, Booking.com etc, until you find something. Other than times like Christmas/New Year etc, you can book the number of nights you want at the sort of places you will find - small hotels/b&b type places.
Check where the accommodation is though, because they can be slightly out of town which may be a consideration for you.
We normally book a flight late evening back, so can ski most of that day. In the places we stay, we usually negotiate to have access to a shower, so we are not sweaty for the trip home. Normally do this once we get there rather than when booking.
Hope this helps.

I recently tried to do this, and I've ended up just booking a week. You may have more luck as the first week after New Year is usually a good time to grab a deal. From what I found the budget airlines that fly to the airports which service the ski resorts are pretty expensive with the exception of Geneva.
I'd look at doing a DIY trip to somewhere that's within an hour of Geneva-I couldn't be arsed with a long transfer for just 3 days. You don't mention what you like in a ski resort or your ability so can't recommend a specific resort/mountain but Chamonix is the obvious one as it has plenty of accomdation that will allow <7 night stays. Others that spring to mind are Les Gets, and Flaine. I personally like Le Thuile, Italian so cheaper than France for food and drink and linked with Le Rosiere in France to provide plenty to go at (although given your time probably not worth it?)
I think you'll find it all add up. Based on £60 for flights ~£45 a day for a lift pass, £40 a night self catering, (£15 per night pp was the cheapest I found in Cham) £30 for a return transfer and for 3 days you're quickly at around £300 a head without hiring or feeding or watering yourselves.
I'd really go for a week if you can

Try this company: http://www.skiweekend.com
Logistics, communication and resort knowledge (Chamonix) were very good. Had a couple of minor issues with the resort-based reps if I had to be very critical, but nothing major.
This place caters for short breaks too, although I don't know if a 3-day trip can be accommodated: http://www.no14verbier.com

ETA No.14 Verbier is sold out for the OP's desired dates.

Thanks for the replies.
Where should I go?
She has never been on ski's before, I did a 4 days trip with some mates a few years ago and by the end was ok (ish) on the baby slopes.
Somewhere near the airport, nice and quite and things to do should Skiing and her not get on!
Ideas....
Again, thanks for your input.
