What dates you going? Does it tie in with Oktoberfest? If so, I hope you have booked your accomodation early!!

There will be plenty to do if that is on.

Other than that, Hoffbrauhaus is the obvious one smile Even Hitler used to drink there lol

Octoberfest is in September smile

Should not have any problems with accom in Munich in October.

Make sure you gow to the centre of the English Garden for Sunday lunch. If the weather is nice (or at least dry) there will be a lot of people eating and drinking there, usually with an ooompah band !

If you go to the Olympic stadium/village you can go up the Tower and see the whole of Munich below. Also the BMW factory and museum are right nextdoor, make sure you book a factory visit before you go and see the three series production line. Apart from that the Hoffbrau hous is a must, but get in early to get seated.

Hop on the train and spend half a day at Dachau KZ memorial (concentration camp) – it's very, very moving.

I tried to take two friends there on my bike tour of Europe this holiday but it turns out it's closed on Mondays…

Also, I always seem to end up wandering around the zoo whenever I'm in Munich, not sure why but it is rather nice as far as zoos go!

I was trying to get out to just outside Munich for work this week - nightmare with flights, no hotels etc. Even a Holiday Inn Express was over £200pn. For two of us to go out for one night was getting close to £2k so we scrubbed it! I am going out in late Dec for some work stuff so will look forward to getting into the BMW tour thumbup

BMW museum is great. If you like Mexican food you HAVE to go to El Gordo Loco. Don't stay at Meiningher Hotel it's crap. Enjoy.

Book the restaurant in the BMW museum, food wasn't too bad when it opened.
