We're looking to go away for a few days (anything up to a week), and fancy going some where in Europe. Where is worth visiting in November? What's there to do etc?

Cheers.

We had a look about online last night and we've decided on Paris.

Any suggestions for Paris?

Depends on where you go. Nuremberg is the huge touristy one so I would avoid that. Koln, Heidelberg, Wiesbaden, Wurzburg, Mainz and Frankfurt are all good, as is Basel.

The Black forest is also great when it starts snowing as it lookings like a winter wonderland.

Going to book flights hopefully today. Any good sites worth checking out for cheap flights?

It should be possible. A work mate was in the Black forest for a weekend in a cabin so will ask him later on today.

Bit closer to home, but Belfast does a very good Xmas market. I've been to a fair few around Europe and yet to find one which beats it

I went away in November a few years ago. It was nice without the crowds, but it was a bit cold at times and not many hours of daylight. I did the trip by train and went all the way to montenegro and back. I am pretty sure we were the only passengers on a night train. We stayed in hostels which were not much cheaper but there was always room. Probably some good deals if you look around for hotels. We went to Brugge, Cologne, Vienna, Budapest, Belgrade, Bar, Bari and Luxembourg. All were pleasant but never saw Luxembourg in daylight.

Expedia works for me. Been around a while and will price match if necessary.....if you push hard enough!

We were thinking about Paris in 3 weeks time. Decided to leave it till the spring so we are going to London for a couple days.
Skyscanner will bring up flights about £100pp to CDG in Paris and that is with Easyjet so may be best just going directly to their site.

Really?

Damned pricey, plus of course there are the Parisians.

Personally I'd go to Seville, or Marrakech.

I went to Krakow in Poland last november for 4 nights and it was fantastic - you need a wolly hat and some gloves mind!
I booked my trip through the Expedia website, i.e. flights and hotel, and had no problems at all. I used Expedia again this year for a Barcelona trip too.
