Travel by car?
Discussion
Hey,
I would like to know what your personal maximum distance when traveling by car is. In a few weeks I will move near my university so I have to travel about 300 miles twice a week. Would you go that far by car or by train? As I read on this infograph there are some students that really travel such lonh distances. Would you?

Depends on the purpose. If it was the distance I'd travel for Uni, well I'd go wherever the best Uni for me was, whatever the distance. (Well, within England anyway.)
As for the distance I'd travel, well that's a very general question. I wouldn't go too far to buy carrots, but I'd go a long way on a holiday and I'd go quite a distance for a decent lay, lol!!
And if you're asking how far a journey has to be before I swap mode of travel, well again that depends on more stuff than just distance. If I'm paying myself then I'll go the cheapest or fastest method, depending on timescale required for travel. If work's paying then generally I'll go however's fastest. I've driven to the South of France for a holiday before, and I'm considering driving to Italy next year. I guess if a holiday destination required more than 2 days drive then I'd fly. But I tend to avoid bus/coach/taxi/train as much as possible really!

I assume he's going home at weekends for either i) his mum to do his ironing, or ii) to see a girl from 'back home'.
I did think that and then i though 300 miles of fuel would be enough to pay someone to do your laundry and if its ii) then all i can say is she must be amazingly talented to make that journey twice a week craigjm said:

But this is PH, you'll get used to it.
