New York - Moment of Madness

On the verge of booking a flight for me and the misses to NY flying tomorrow evening. Hotels are available and the flight times are good. All falls within doable budget.

Any reason this could be a bad idea. Thinking visa or other logistical issue.

We booked a last minute trip to NY last year, took the kids this time. I can't see any reason why you shouldn't. Just relax and enjoy it.

Have you been pre approved for a visa?

IIRC you have to have done this first these days rather than just rock up and fill out a card on the plane.

ESTA is supposed to be filled out 72 hours before, but I'm sure we did it about 48 hours before last time we went.

Looking into it now. Looks unlikely though. Hotel availability isn great after all!

IIRC your passport has to be valid for 6 months after your return date, worth checking this.

You can find a hotel in NY if you really want one.

Whats your budget?

I'm a local so can tell you the weather here is crap right now as it is chucking it down but I am sure it will get better.
