As the title suggests. I posted a few months ago and got some good suggestions for self catering options in Italy. The problems is that it seems the further south you go in Italy the less self catering there is available. We are visiting Maratea, Basillicata in the province of Potenza. I need to be as close as possible to this I we can be.
As silly as this sound I have emailed may be 15 enquiries via website forms and had a response back from only 2 places. I replied to the first with a couple of questions, and then never heard from them again rolleyes
The second answered my questions and then sent me a link to a 'firm' booking form which i completed and sent back, thankfully no card details were required. Same thing - I have not heard back from the company either. I have even called the second company and left a message but they never got back to me. confused

The bottom line is I'm nervous about driving all the way from Cheshire to southern italy when Im struggling to make contact with the property owners/agents to even make a booking.

A friend told me that in southern italy they have a really laid back 'come day go day' attitude to life. This is find once i've arrived and got the keys to the accomodation.
Anybody got any suggestions? apart from go to Benidorm biggrin

Try Owners Direct

It's a website for Brits who own property abroad and want to earn an income from it. Usually you pay by a UK bank transfer. Worked well for me.

Hi. Thanks for the reply. I had tried OD as we have used them before.
There is nothing that is close enough sadly. Thanks again.
