Hi all. Not my normal regional forum but thought I'd ask here if anyone from the Dorset area could recommend some decent accommodation in the Lulworth area? I'm only looking for a single night break to take the girlfriend away for her birthday at the start of February.

I liked the look of The Castle Inn in Lulworth but unfortunately their website says that it's closed during Jan & Feb for it's annual refurbishment. I'm probably going to book in at the Lulworth Cove Inn instead but before I bite the bullet has anyone got any experience or comments they could share? Many thanks.

Have you looked at Dorchester? Its only a few miles away and some fantastic hotels there?

Here's one I know people have stayed at and returned a few times since.

There's Lookout Caravan Park in Wareham that I find to be good.
I don't know if they do one nighters but no harm in asking them.

Scotts Arms in Kingston, a few mile along the coast, is nice, good restaurant/pub food. Can walk to the coast path if you want to.

+1 on this, although it can be a bit of a trek if the range road is shut.

Brilliant, plenty of pointers there on things to do. Thanks everyone. Now if someone could just arrange a nice bit of winter sunshine for that weekend I'll be all set....

It does not !!!

although a parish its a ghost town often closed with no access when MOD are operating at lulworth army ranges , you still have to check if the area is open , normally this time of year the MOD are testing
