We've booked 4 days for some time in Pembrokeshire for July, and wondered if anyone had any recommendations.

I've not looked into it properly, but I've never been there, so almost everything would be useful really - sights, eats, etc.

Hopefully we'll have some nice weather, as we plan to visit some of the beaches if possible!

Whereabouts in Pembrokeshire? - it's a big county.

I'd have a look at the Visit Pembrokeshire website for wet weather suggestions but otherwise there are castles at manorbier, pembroke, carew and cilgerran; cracking surf beaches at Freshwater West, Newgale and Whitesands bay (near St.Davids); a boat trip around Ramsey island would be a must for me (weather permitting); St.Davids Abbey and city is beautiful; your missus may like a trip to Melin Tregwynt; if staying near Tenby a trip to Caldey Island would be an idea (but your missus can't visit the abbey in case she leads one of the monks astray); a trip to Pendine Sands would be an obvious draw for a PH, and there is a theme park called Oakwood if you have kids of an age to like that sort of thing.

Ramsey Island trip is good, we went with the one near the tourist information centre by the pub in St Davids.

Basically, they've got a 'slower' RIB than the others, but my relatives who live nearby said they do a better trip.

St Davids is lovely, well worth a visit.

Whitesands for a bit of surfing/bodyboarding

Loads of places to walk, climb cairn llidi

Porthgain is nice, we went crabbing off the harbour wall.

Let us know where in pembroke you're going though

..and Folly Farm is not too far away. Also down that way is Anna Ryder-Richardson's Welsh Zoo and a place called Heatherton which has stuff there.

There's a very good vineyard near Haverfordwest and you can do a taste session with all their wines!

Thanks for all the suggestions. I did read them all, but clearly forgot to reply!

It's this weekend we're off there... Great. The weather is absolutely rubbish, so I'm wondering if anyone has wet weather suggestions...

We're staying in Pembroke Dock.
