Going on a little business trip in a few weeks. The flight's booked to Bergamo and I need to get to Milan (at a sociable of the morning).

Some quick research suggests that you get a bus to Bergamo itself and then a train to Milan? Sounds a faff to me... Anyone have any suggestions?

Don't fly with Ryan Air would be my advice.

The bus to Bergamo takes about 15 mins, trains to Milan are pretty frequent - it's not real biggie but at least it means you get a chance to have a decent coffee before you get to Milan.

Not sure exactly what you want to know or where you are going.

The buses from Bergamo Airport are frequent and cheap and drop off at Central Station in Milan (10 euros). It takes approx 45 mins. Head out of the Airport and you will see the transport waiting right out side. Depending on who you fly with you can can buy the tickets for the bus on the plane. Don't bother with the train the bus transfer is fast, cheap and regular.

Forgot to say, the old town of Bergamo is well worth a visit should you have time. Think old walled city with narrow sreets and architecture to die for. The bus also runs from there to the Airport 24hrs.

Enjoy.

Righto, direct bus it is.

I didn't book the flight sadly... But I'm not complaining, it's rare that we get travel authorised (even when it would be really useful) so I'm not complaining.
