buying Harley bike gear in Florida

We are off to Miami in April. Would it be worth waiting until we are there to buy a Harley leather jacket for my wife and a few other items? will it be any cheaper?

Also, what are the implications of coming through customs back in the UK with a new Harley jacket?

Well you can check prices online. As for coming back, remove any tags and who's going to know? I buy lots of bits for my Mustang when I go and ahve no fear I'm going to be strip-searched when I don't declare them. ;0

HD clothing is significantly cheaper over in the US, usually $ to £ equivalent. I have been over to the States a number of times and always bought my HD gear over there (parts included). Never had problems in Customs...as said, remove any tags, etc.

I assume you'll be visiting Peterson's HD whilst over there?

Not sure about Miami but there is a huge HD shop in just outside Orlando and another one in Downtown Disney.

There is a HD dealer opposite Old Town in Kissimmee too.
