Just to add if you are interested, Yas Circuit is open to walk/cycle around on Tuesday evenings (for free) - it does get quite busy and have to give a contact number (I think) but it's very well organised. Often only a half circuit as they have cars going round the other half.
Not sure about where to stay as I have no idea about costs, the Rotana on Yas Island had offers on last time I heard but that was a while ago. Also, Yas is a fair way from Abu Dhabi proper but taxis are fairly cheap.
Mosque really worth a visit but wear trousers and long sleeved shirts (as a gent) else you'll have to don one of the white dishdasha that the arabs tend to wear. Any ladies in your party will need to wear an abaya.
I've not been to Ferrari world, but to be honest I think it's aimed mostly at kids etc, although the roller coaster is meant to be good.
In Dubai, I don't know so much about, although the view from Burj Khalifa is unbelievable even from the viewing floor (just over half way I think, still f'ing high). If you want to do this, you can book the day before to save a good amount on the fee they charge (it is really rather expensive if I remember rightly). You get in through a tunnel/corridor from Dubai Mall which in itself is quite amazing in how huge it is.
Are you hiring a car or relying on public transport? (I only ask as if you are hiring you could perhaps visit the Emirates National Auto Museum, but it's about an hours drive down the straightest road I've ever seen)
Not much else I can think of from the top of my head (sorry if more than you needed).
Hope it helps (even though I was of no help in answering the original question!)

I went to Abu Dhabi before Christmas, personally I did not think Ferrari World was worth the £40 entry, yes the rollercoaster was mental but the rest was not worth it. I can recommend the Aston Martin V8 experience at Yas Circuit though.Thinking about siong to the mosque on either mon morning and wed morning

I stayed at the Fairmont Bab Al Bahr, nice modern hotel but not central. I did not find that a problem though as taxis are cheap.
Hi I went in Nov- really enjoyed it.
The Beach Rotanta was very good, and in your price ish. It included breakfast too. Worth spendinga bit extra and get a sea facing balcony.
If you can afford it, stay at the Emirates place- its double your budget, but its amazing. Maybe spend 1 night there, and you chill out on the beach with some drinks and shisha.
Enjoy!
