Hey folks

So, a mate and I plan to go on holiday, leaving between the 16th and 18th of March. No idea where to go, only stipulations are:

1. Hot and Sunny with a beach or 2 (would be good if it had a bit of history and culture, as I like to explore)
2. Somewhere I haven't been before (Spain, Bilbao, Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Sweden, Mexico and Venezuela are out)
3. Cheap, sub £400pp

Also, any links to good last minute websites would be nice

Cheers thumbup

Never thought of Tunisia, will take a look.

lastminute didn't have that many deals, Thomas Cook was better.
Any less maistream sights that are any good?

Found some very good prices on there.

You may be limited by flights over 3 days - at this time of year.

It won't be particularly warm in Europe in March and you'll always run the risk of bad weather.

I'm sure you can't have seen all of Spain. The area round Almeria airport is technically desert and fantastic to explore from the stunning roads and coast around Cabo de Nijar natural park to the Alpujarra mountain roads, Guadix and the Alhambra Palace at Granada. As a bonus, if you wander up the Sierra Nevada mountain, they often test new cars up there.

We usually stay in Roquetas de Mar and hire a car. You can fly to Almeria or to Murcia and drive down the stunning coast road.

Thanks for the info guys thumbup

Although, looking at the Tunisia thread, perhaps that isn't such a good idea as we plan to explore and see things. Egypt is looking like a front runner at the moment.

Agreed, I have not seen all of Spain but I have been there so that counts it out, also wanted to stay away from Europe due to weather...

Any thoughts on Cyprus, really trying to keep the costs down and that seems a little cheaper....
