British Columbia travel ideas
Discussion
So me the mrs & jnr (20 months old) are flying to Vancouver in June for 3 weeks. The Mrs has family there, so plenty of offers to stay, but I really want us 3 to see more of Canada for part of our time there. We plan on travelling to Kamloops for a few days to see her auntie.
Any ideas anybody on sightseeing/ must see's?
Wherever we go must be driveable. Ideally we want to see breathtaking scenery, and just take in as much as we can.
Last time we went we took the ferry to Vancouver Island, which was great, whale watching along route. We only travelled to Victoria though. Is Vancouver island worth looking around a little more?
We also drove half way to Whistler which was good.

Vancouver Island = Head across to Tofino. Fantastic drive ( plenty of bears to see), and then have a few days there.
Stop off at the avenue of giant trees on the way. Ancient rain forest area.
Tofino = Great for wildlife spotting and you have the best beaches to walk along. A great visitor centre on Long Beach where you can have a lovely lunch. 2 or 3 hrs in the visitor centre if you watch all the videos (free).
A great place to eat is 'Shelter'. Look it up on Trip advisor.
In Vancouver head round to English Bay and sample a few of the great restaurants there, or maybe go to the Market across at Granville Island. Plenty to see and do there.
