Hotel Recommendations - Wilts, Hants or Dorset

We don't appear to have a 'best hotels'wiki like we have for restaurants...odd given the membership of this site.

Anyway can anyone recommend a hotel in any of the above counties that is a bit quirky (manor house, castle, abbatoir etc) and suitable for a romantic getaway?

Not particularly quirky, but Carey's Manor in the new forest is lovely - and a great Spa if you pay to go behind the Golden Door.

Oakley Hall is nice, not far from Basingstoke. We managed to get a room for £100 a night on a midweek deal two years ago

Or the Lime Wood. Both are fabulous and near to Beaulieu motor museum.
