Hotel near the Science museum / A4 and parking

Were turning the cup final into a weekend away and on friday and saturday are looking for a hotel near Cromwell road / Kensington central so we can walk about to the museum and shops.

Thing is with a lot of London hotels they are all nice reception and crappy rooms so any suggestions please and somewhere to dump the car nearby for a couple of days that doesnt need a tin opener to get it out.
