A week in Indy, any tips?

Unfortunately Indian-no-place is not what we call a 'destination city'. My company is headquartered there, as are some of our clients, so I spend a lot of time in Indy - and like you, I struggle for fun times up there.
The Speedway Hall of Fame Museum is interesting and could consume an afternoon at a stretch. Be a little careful where you wander on that side of town though - quite easy to find yourself in the 'hood and standing out like a pork pie at a barmitzvah.
Lucas Oil Stadium has become a shrine to a team that once was - and resembles a large agricultural building - nothing to see there anymore.
Minor league baseball stadium is close to downtown and more fun than you might expect - and don't be hatin' on me for suggesting this, but The Childrens Museum is really, really good.
On a more adult theme, Brad's Brass Flamingo on Southeastern Ave is Indy's best tit/sports bar.
As stated St Elmo's is awesome - and the Capitol Grill downtown is great too.
The Claddaugh Irish Pub on 96th in Fishers gets rammed with yummy mummies and cougars, has excellent cod and chips and good Guinness and Petersons Restaurant at the intersection of 96th and I-69 is very good too.
A bit off the wall, but a day out to the historic town of Metamora IN is quite interseting if you have a hankering to see how it all was back in the day (pre-civil war = ancient history here).
