Need to get away for 4/5/6 days around 8th - 14th June. All we want to do is chill, go for some walks, lounge around a pool or spa, eat some lovely food and drink some great wine.

Was contemplating the Scarlet in Cornwall but really would prefer something up to 2 hours from Poole.

Any suggestions?

You can be in Mallorca in 2 hours from Poole... wink Ryanscare Bmth to Palma and Bobs yr uncle, flight is probably less than the petrol to Cornwall.

Oh, and a hotel suggestion.

Try Moonfleet Manor just outside Weymouth - absolutely great place. Babington House in Somerset is probably also - just - within your 2 hour window

Thanks for that. Moonfleet looks a bit too family orientated but Babington looks like a possibility.

If your stay is over a week-end, Babington is very family oriented too.

The people at babington annoyed me too much. Cowley manor can't be beaten for me, but all personal choice of course

Try the Chewton Glen hotel in New Milton (on the border of Dorset/Hampshire) it's gorgeous. Awesome spa, plush rooms, expansive grounds and a lovely restaurant - www.chewtonglen.com

Sorry, I should have been a little clearer.

I live in Poole so I know most of the hotels in the New Forest and in the surrounding area. The 2 hour thing was to try to find something that was further afield that I had not tried before.

Chers for all the suggestions.
