Golf for me. Spa for her. Weekend break (UK)
Discussion
Does anyone have any recommendations for golf/spa weekends in the UK. No budget really but the course must be decent and the spa facilities cheap
Hotel must have a good restaurant - Michellin star pref but not essential. Done Gleaneagles and St Andrews before so was hoping for something different.

USGA standard golf course, stonking club house with changing and shower facilities, brilliant spa (not cheap) and two excellent restaurants - three if you include the golf club house. The Glass House is an all you can eat buffet type offering with top notch choices whereas as Colette's is much better and has a rather grand wine list.

There's Stoke Park http://www.stokepark.com/index.html Spa is very good....golf course is more very good club course rather than a championship course. I used to be a member of the golf club.
The Vineyard is supposed to be an excellent Spa hotel with very good food

No gold attached but maybe they have arrangement with nearby courses....there are some great courses in the area.

vote for here to, we were members before departing UK shores, fantastic Spa with proper massages if you ask for the right people, not a golfer but it seemed very popular, the England football team used to use it allot.www.thegrove.co.uk

very good restaurants, think it had three.
the walled garden is a beautiful place to chill out there as well.
Another vote for stoke park here. Eat in the fine dining restaurant and have the deconstructed snickers for dessert. Make sure you also have a stoke park burger at some point during your stay, delicious. We don't normally eat burgers either. Not sure if it has any Michelin stars but I enjoyed it a lot more than some 2 starred restaurants I've eaten in.
