Ardennes - this weekend - what to do? Where to stay?
Discussion
Hello all,
I've just, on the spur of the moment, booked the Friday (tomorrow) hull <-> Zeebrugge boat (coming back Monday) which gives us 3 days/2 nights.
Normally I'd go down to Amiens in France where I used to live, and visit friends etc. However I fancy doing something a bit different.
The Ardennes sounds nice and also has the Battle of the Bulge factor (we love visiting WW1 and WW11 battlefields/museums).
I'm thinking of basing in either Dinant or Bastogne - needs to be somewhere with restaurants/bars and something to see; there is always the risk of overdoing the Leffe etc and being unable to drive.
Suggestions from the experts? Other places worth staying?
Cheers
