Hi there,

Its my wife's 30th this new years eve and she has said she wants to go away just me and her.

I,ve looked Into a number of destinations but where I was thinking is too pricey!!

She has never been to Paris so the plan was fly there take in a few days shopping and then book into a fancy hotel and nice meal....

Any help!!!

Hi

Have a look at the responses to my thread which is on the same page. I'm in a similar situation in that I'm taking my gf to Paris for her 30th.

Not sure on places to eat as I haven't been there before. I do like the look of Le Train Bleu. Looks as though it would fit a special occasion.

I Love Le Train Bleu! So stylish, and an unusual place to take your gf for dinner!

Good to see that someone else recommends it. Looks very grand, ideal for a special occasion.

Regarding travel, have you thought about Eurostar rather than flying?
Flying is such a pain, Eurostar means 30 min check in, no bother with bags and allowances and you arrive in central Paris in two hours.
