Route Napoleon

Driving down to Grasse in 2 weeks, thought motprway down as far as Lyon and then route Napoleon, has anyone done it? any reccomendations.

Yes.

The northern section is pretty boring. South of Gap is pretty stunning though. Start early to avoid the traffic.

You can't go too far wrong on the roads in that corner of France.

Yes, did it last year in the E30.

Got pulled by a copped for being naughty. 80 euro fine.

You'll be cutting it fine. In August it is normally nose to tail traffic, a nightmare of campervans.
