Just booked some time off work for end of October/start of November.
After some decent weather and something a bit different.

No idea on budget yet but nothing to expensive - circa 1k each.

No real requirements.
Would be nice to see something different and not just laze about for the week.

All inclusive would be nice.
If not, well somewhere where the food and drink isn't very expensive!

Normally go snowboarding as our main holiday so this will be a refreshing change.

Any ideas?

Do you like to do active stuff when you're away? If you just want to lie on a beach for a week anywhere will do.

I'd suggest the Gambia. Hot weather all year round interesting flora and fauna. 1k will get you allot.

Malta - Culture, history, fantastic food and some great hotels (as long as you go for 5*)

I'm liking the idea of Cape Verde.
I would love to do safari but Laura did that in Tanzania a couple of years ago so might have to wait a few years before doing it again.
Malta for some reason doesn't appeal. Not sure why as it does look very nice.

Kerala in Southern India. Plenty of 5 star hotels springing up now. We used to go in january, pre-kids, and loved it. Get a tuk-tuk for local sight-seeing and a taxi fo you really must (nutters the lot of them) to go further afield. We used to go round Lighthouse Bay which is near the Keralan Backwaters. Further north you have Cochin and you can do a night on a rice boat though you get what you pay for there.
